Enrolment process
Ipswich Central State School is enrolment managed. Enrolment at Ipswich Central State School requires compliance within the following process whether you reside inside or outside the catchment:
- Collect, complete and return an enrolment form with all the required supporting documentation.
- Participate in an enrolment interview with your child present. These are approximately 15–20 minutes in duration and conducted by either the Principal, Deputy Principal or their delegate.
- Acceptance of and compliance with the school uniform policy—a uniform is compulsory at Ipswich Central State School.
- Acceptance of and compliance with the school discipline policy – Ipswich Central State School is unrelenting in its focus on high expectations within a safe and supportive school environment.
In-catchment
If you reside in catchment then your child’s enrolment at Ipswich Central State School is guaranteed following the satisfactory completion of the enrolment process. Your child’s enrolment will be confirmed to you by phone and in writing.
Out-of-catchment
If you reside out of catchment then you will be placed on our waiting list. View the Department’s school catchment maps to determine if you reside in the catchment area. Places for out of catchment enrolments are offered in accordance with the Enrolment Management Policy (EMP). Your child’s enrolment availability will be made known to you by phone and in writing.
